'CONTINUATION' NAMED "TRACK OF THE WEEK" ON IVIBES.NU!
Netherlands based dance music website iVibes has named 'Continuation' their "Track of the Week".

The collaboration between Christopher Lawrence and Nicholas Bennison has been turning heads with is tough trance attitude and won the support of DJs from Paul van Dyk and Paul Oakenfold, and glowing reviews from press, including the review below from iVibes, which earned 'Continuation' their "Track of the Week" title!

The fourth release on Pharmacy Music see's collaboration between Christopher Lawrence and Nicholas Bennison in a follow up to their last joint release 'Scorcher'. That same word definitely describes this follow up with Sean J Morris poping in a remix...

Christopher Lawrence is a producer and DJ I have grown quite fond off over the past few years, not in a homosexual way of course, but in terms of his production style and thunderous DJ sets. He is very much into the Psy style of things with his sound at the moment which is a good thing as it's a style that many traditional Trance fans yet to discover it will lap up by the record loads. He helped put together a superb compilation with John 'OO' Fleming last year with 'Global Trance Grooves' and enjoy touring the globe with Mr Fleming pumping out the sound to thousands all over the world. His partner in crime for this fourth release on Pharmacy Music is Nicholas Bennison. He's a producer and DJ that’s been around since the early 90's and is no stranger to seeing his tracks pop up in the big artist's track lists over the years. He blends together techno, breakbeat, progressive and psy with his own unique style and only last year we saw his debut artist album 'Tension of Opposites' released. Both these guys are from the States so I'm sure those of you into your Trance across the pond will be well aware of how talented these two producers are.

The Original Mix is where you should look first with this super collaboration. I remember casually checking out the last production work these two put their heads together on but after a quick glance over at this it instantly got me interested. The opening sequence to this mix is terrific, it really builds up the energy that explodes later on impressively. The beat is singed with Psy flavour and in with it rolls a thunderous throbbing bass line with kicks skipping every beat or so creating an great flow. The lead riff stabs in with great force and with each break stabs in styth's of sound. The deeply uplifting Psy sound and progressive roll on the bass line gel together to keep your interest. Deep background rumbles feed in amongst all the mayhem and when the sounds begin to fizzle out the main melody is rich with flavour and goes down like cold beer on a hot summers afternoon. There are stabs of beat for a short moment and before the breaks begun the track comes back into full force. The Psy sound is one very difficult to put into words but I really like this with its high flow of energy throughout.

Sean J Morris is no stranger to Pharmacy Music as he had the label's last release in the form of a two track EP 'Sun Chaser & Aspire'. His mix here sticks to the Psy style of the original but is altogether differently worked. The main beat gives more pulse with the bass line very prominent in the build up. The Psy stabs pelt in after it gets rolling on a bit and when the beat cuts off a throbbing beat drum brings in the main break. The main melody is introduced and a drum roll that begins from the background and builds up brings back the beat and throbbing bass rumble. The beat pattern breaks from the pattern and stabs on and off until it hits back and brings with it chord changing string to create the energy. If the original mix was an fine Ale Sean has just altered the flavour a tad but keeping the same after taste. It's not as good as the original in my view but a good solid remix none the less.

Conclusion:
Quite an energy packed release and a great coming together of two of America's finest Electronic talents have created a thumping record. The remix didn't really do anything for me but the Original ripped my ears to bits, go and check it out when it gest a full release sometime this month.

Fresh off the cover of DJ Times magazine, Christopher Lawrence returns with the May episode of 'Rush Hour'. Christopher has an hour of fresh new tunes this podcast including the current single on Pharmacy Music by Jonathan Allyn titled 'Taking Sides'. Christopher also features a new track by production partner Nicholas Bennison, as well as the first release in five years on Hook Recordings, the first label Christopher was signed to in the late nineties.

This months special guests are Canadian producers Alkatraz. Fast becoming the producers to watch, the pairs song "We're Rollin" was picked up by Tiesto for his label Blackhole and his acclaimed ClubLife Radio show. The track was supported by Matt Darey, Johan Gielen, Richard Durand, The Flash Bros, Sied van Reil and many more. Their next release 'A Minor Crisis' was handled by UK imprint Seamless Recordings and also boasted support by Tiesto, Gareth Emery, Super8 & Tab, Laurent Garnier, Pete Heller, and Graham Gold among numerous other top ranked jocks. Christopher Lawrence is featured on the cover of the April issue of DJ Times magazine. The issue debuted at the Winter Music Conference in Miami and his interview can now be read online at DJTimes.com

The cover follows Christopher's win of the America's Best DJ title from DJ Times poll in 2008-2009.

The Top 100 DJs in America – as selected by the editors of DJ Times – solicited their fans to vote for them, both online at www.americasbestdj.net and at 40 official ABDJ events at nightclubs and festivals nationwide last year. When the polls closed, more than 35,000 votes were cast and Christopher prevailed as 1 Dj in the US, as voted for by US fans.

Christopher was presented with a gold plated Pioneer mixer at a ceremony in Las Vegas, which was the culmination of a four-month contest and tour, presented by Pioneer Pro DJ and DJ Times magazine.

CHRISTOPHER LAWRENCE DEBUTS 'LIE TO OURSELVES' LIVE AT COACHELLA!
Described as “Probably the Best Festival in the World” by NME and “The Best American Festival” by Rolling Stone, Coachella is the mother of all US music events.

Famed for its diverse lineups and its exotic locale in Southern California's sun-drenched Palm Springs, Coachella ran from Friday April 17th to Sunday April 19th this year.

Christopher Lawrence played the Sahara dance tent at Coachella on Sunday. This was Christopher's fourth Coachella, having graced the line up of the famed festival more than almost any other international DJ.

Currently working on his third artist album, Christopher debuted his new single 'Lie to Ourselves', a collaboration with Dave Audé and vocalist Jen Lasher at Coachella.

'Lie to Ourselves' is destined to be Christopher's ultimate crossover track with it's haunting vocals and beautiful melodies. The single, which was promo'd at the Winter Music Conference in Miami, is already being supported by some of the World's biggest DJs including Paul Oakenfold, Judge Jules and Matt Darey.

In a career first, Christopher featured a live vocal performance during his set, with Jen Lasher joining him on stage to perform 'Lie to Ourselves' live.

The track, which is a collaboration between label boss Christopher Lawrence and Nicholas Bennison, was released on April 1st on Christopher's label Pharmacy Music.
